Your customers would NOT have to change anything if you set vpopmail's default domain. They would then only need their username. We converted to Qmail and the only thing customers called about is a few forwarding issues because the .forward package is kind of hoaky.

I know sendmail can be bound to a specific IP, and qmail the same (via one of the control files, ~qmail/locals I believe). Also looks like tcpserver can be used for both POP3 servers (qpopper & vchkpw/pop3d). Doesn't look like it should be any problem, I asked the question originally just to see if anyone else had done it and see if they had any advice to share. Just using qmail's sendmail wrapper doesn't work ... all of my customers need to reconfigure their POP3 clients when I change (since vpopmail will require them to use the entire email address as a POP username).
