Ok maybe to clarify slightly more,

I installed Qmail on Mandrake Linux in rpm format

I installed the qmail-pop3d also in rpm format

I compiled both qmailadmin and vpopmail according to the INSTALL

after installing vpopmail I added (user and domain changed):  ./vadddomain somedomain.com g0odp4ssw0rd

after receiving no errors from this I checked the addition of it with, qmailadmin it was there

I am  using outlook to check the email.

Login info:

Server (changed also imagine real ip here): 10.10.10.33

Login User: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Login Pass: g0odp4ssw0rd

After a quite long pause, outlook will ask me again for the password, when I know that I am typing it

Correctly.  I am just wondering if there is  breakdown somewhere that I am just not seeing.

Hi Brady,

what do you mean by "logging in" ? Are you talking about POP3

or about sqwebmail ? If you want to login via POP3 you must not

use the '@'. instead you have to use a '%'. your accountname then is

blahblah%abc123.com

Best Regards,

Philipp

Subject: [qmailadmin] can't login to pop3 account maybe a vpopmail issue

I recently installed qmail vpopmail and qmailadmin,

I followed the directions for vpopmail and qmailadmin,

I added a virtual domain abc123.com

Used qmail admin to create user [EMAIL PROTECTED]

However when I attempt to login to the account [EMAIL PROTECTED] it just keeps asking me for the password

I’ve logged in trying both username: [EMAIL PROTECTED] and just blahblah with the password and it still keeps

Asking for the password, is there a broken down link between vpopmail and qmail that I am missing here?
