Tom: It would be useful/helpful to add a line at the end of configure, in
the "Current settings" list that includes whether or not help is enabled or
disabled.
I've been thinking about improving on the current ./configure procedure and the large number of options available. I think some of the options could be converted from compile-time to run-time options, and be stored in a file like ~vpopmail/etc/qmailadmin.conf.
This would make it easier to keep some custom settings from build to build, along with allowing an admin to change qmailadmin's configuration without having to recompile.
If that will make things too inefficient (having to parse a settings file every time /cgi-bin/qmailadmin is hit), perhaps storing all of the options in a .conf file that users can copy from their old source directory to the new one would be helpful.
Of course, I should probably hold off on that idea, so we can focus on getting a stable version of QmailAdmin shipped. I'm hoping that Ken will release the much anticipated vpopmail 5.3.21 soon so we can thoroughly test it. The next stable QmailAdmin release will require a stable vpopmail release based on 5.3.19 or later.
