My Qmail Toaster
install has been purring along quite nicely for a month and a half now. I
love it.
I installed the
qtupgrade.cron file that Erik Espinoza wrote (thanks Erik!) and it just sent me
a notification that there are some upgrades. However, the notification
didn't get through. I received it as a failure notice in my [EMAIL PROTECTED]
account.
I think what threw
a wrench into it was that mail.mydomain.us is a cname. The actual server
name is server.mydomain.us (creative, I know, but it's also my
cachingDNS/dhcp/smb/multisite webserver at home).
So, ultimately,
the failure message said:
Hi. This is the qmail-send program at
server.mydomain.us.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

<remote mailserver ip address> does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 550-Verification failed for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
550-unrouteable mail domain "server.mydomain.us"
550 Sender verify failed

So.... what
changes should I make to insure that when the qmail server sends me a message,
it is sent via a recognizable e-mail account on the domain?
