Subject: Re: [qmailtoaster] Getting Errors in Centos 4
Hi Jeremy,
I think I have fixed the autoconf script in
vqadmin-toaster-2.3.6-1.2.7.src.rpm
I found the autoconf guess routine was quessing vpopmail info for
PACKAGE,
VERSION, VQA_PACKAGE and VQA_VERSION, I think because vpopmail owns
vqadmin's operations.
I wrote a patch for the fix. Hope it works for you.
If anyone has a better way to fix this, I would appreciate hearing your
thoughts.
Regards,
Nick
Hey Nick,
It still does not work for me. I get the same errors:
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/vqadmin-2.3.6/missing: Unknown `--run' option
Try `/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/vqadmin-2.3.6/missing --help' for more
information
configure: WARNING: `missing' script is too old or missing
checking for gawk... gawk
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes
checking build system type... Invalid configuration
`i686-redhat-linux-gnu': machine `i686-redhat-linux' not recognized
configure: error: /bin/sh ./config.sub i686-redhat-linux-gnu failed
error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.4171 (%prep)
RPM build errors:

Hey everyone,
Sorry again. I feel so stupid. I'm still getting the error but I have
the
wrong machine. I have two servers and the one giving me the error is a
Pentium III 667mhz, not the Athlon 2600+ I mentioned above. Sorry the
trouble I've caused. Hope this helps figuring out why vqadmin isn't
working.
Jeremy
Hi Jeremy,
Please double check to see that you are installing release 1.2.7 and not
1.2.6.
This problem should be fixed in 1.2.7
Regards,
Nick
Hey Nick,
I double checked and I do have the current 1.2.7 downloaded and it is still
giving these errors. Looks like its complaining about a program called
"missing"?? This is pretty much a standard install from the Centos 4 quick
install script. This is the first package I've had trouble with.
Jeremy
