7800 mails removed from queue...
If you didn't have the /var/qmail/control/queuelifetime set initially, it defaults to (correct me if I'm wrong) 3 days. The "new" spam technique is to send a message to your mail server with a bad return path, so if you're running an open relay, it gets delivered to the intended recipient. If you're not, it bounces to someone, and gets delivered anyway. The messages will sit in the queue for however long you have it set for - my backup mailer has an average queue of 300 messages all the time, myself. Out of curiosity, which method did you use? One of the links I sent, or changed the queuelifetime?
