I used both...

First stop qmail and filter all messages... (about 8000) in queue.

Then change the time to 60 (yes 60 sec.) then (when queue became clean) back
it to default time 864000 (one day).

And change my blacklist to xbl instead sbl...

So, now i´m curious now, all qmail control files (listed on life with qmail)
work´s with toaster???

Tks again,

RL

If you didn't have the /var/qmail/control/queuelifetime set initially,
it defaults to (correct me if I'm wrong) 3 days. The "new" spam
technique is to send a message to your mail server with a bad return
path, so if you're running an open relay, it gets delivered to the
intended recipient. If you're not, it bounces to someone, and gets
delivered anyway. The messages will sit in the queue for however long
you have it set for - my backup mailer has an average queue of 300
messages all the time, myself.
Out of curiosity, which method did you use? One of the links I sent, or
changed the queuelifetime?
