Ok, this is strange. To reiterate the problem I've been having: when I use qmailadmin to configure spam detection per-account, it writes a .qmail file in the /home/vpopmail/domains/[domain]/[user]/ directory. This then causes any mail sent to that address to sit in the queue forever instead of being delivered. As soon as spam detection is turned off, the mail gets delivered. This is the problem I've been trying to solve.

The strange part is this: after installing spamassassin from CPAN per Nick's instructions, I still have the problem with mail not being delivered when spam detection turned on, but I just received an e-mail on one of my accounts that was marked ***SPAM*** in the subject. A look at the header tells me that simscan, clamav, and spamassassin all had a go at the e-mail in question.
The e-mail header in question:

Now, I intend to filter all e-mail addresses I use on my server anyway, so spamassassin working server-wide in this manner isn't necessarily a BAD thing. I'm not, however, the only user of this server; so I would like qmailadmin to work in the intended manner. Can somebody give me an idea where to look to fix this?
