[qmailtoaster] Does VERP work with qmail-toaster?

verp (Variable envelope return paths) doesn't seem to be working with my qmail-toaster program. I created the following file: .qmail-test-default which contains &[EMAIL PROTECTED] But when I send to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" it says "no mailbox here by that name". I checked the forums and google and I'm still trying to figure out what's going on.
