What does the file /home/vpopmail/etc/vpopmail.mysql have in it? If vpopmail has a problem connecting to mysql, then their's either a port problem, or mysql is hanging. Hard to tell without being there to check stuff. Has anything changed, such as changing the mysql config to allow outside access or anything?
