What version of MySQL are you using? I just recently confirmed a
problem with MySQL versions 5.0 and greater, where changes in the
defaults prevent long-term persistent connections. It was suggested
(and has proven successful on my system) that in the short term, the
line:
wait_timeout = 432000
Be added to the [mysqld] section of your my.conf file, and restart the
mysqld service. There is supposedly a patch on the way sometime soon
for authlib that should work through this problem.
