Hi Max - I'm new to qmail myself, hopefully the other list members can
answer some of your questions.  drdb and heartbeat are one way to
replicate the data, there is also rsync, couldn't tell you which is
better, here are a couple of links for rsync guides that may be of help. 
they deal with apache, but i'm sure you could just change it for qmail-
