The simscan setting is for when messages get deleted. You will not get
any messages put into a spam box unless you install and configure the
devel branch of qmail-toaster right now. Spamassassin *ONLY* scores
messages, nothing else. Simscan (controlled by simcontrol) determines
what things get blocked, and when emails get deleted (when they reach
the spam= score you define).
But this could be done with mailfilter, yes?
Where does one find documentation for Qmailtoaster how to make a
maildrop filter that catches messages with specific headers (for eg
Subjects marked as spam)? Searching the wiki
with phrase "maildrop" ended up with 0 results.
Yes, mailfilter is another way of doing this. It has just been moved
into the main trunk, so you will need to download and recompile the new
version of maildrop-toaster and qmailadmin-toaster with the --define
'spambox 1' option:
rpmbuild --rebuild --with cnt40 --define 'spambox 1'
qmailadmin-toaster-*.src.rpm
That will give you a chekc box in QMail-Admin for "Spam detection" which
will run your emails through the mailfilter script.
As far as how to write your own mailfilter scripts, do a search on
maildrop. It has it's own way of handling emails and regrexes, so some
reading will be needed for this.
