SpamAssassin shouldn't be scanning mail from IP's with RELAYCLIENT set
or SMTP-AUTH is used. Ensure that this is how mail is being sent from
within your domain. Also if you don't want [EMAIL PROTECTED],
enble spf and srs.

hi

let us say i host : clientdomain.com on a server

in spamassassin i whitelist this domain so that spamchecks are never done
for this domain since i dont want emails sent between users within the same
domain to be marked as spam even by mistake -- unfortunately spamassassin
does this quite often

now the problem is that lately email users under clientdomain.com are
receving spam with the from id as : [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- where
[EMAIL PROTECTED] does not exist on the server and also it is
confirmed that these emails do not originate from my users machines

there are from somewhere in poland while we are from india.

so spamassassin is whitelisting such emails because the from id contains :
clientdomain.com

is there any way to solve this problem ?

or alternatively i dont want spamassassin checks done for emails that are
authenticated and sent thru the server.

what is the way out

thanks for your help .. as always.

Sincerely

Rajesh Mahadevan
