All,

Since there is no longer a 'Minimal Install' option for CentOS 5, you
may experience challenges installing your base system. I don't like the
idea of keeping track of all 6 (six!!) CDROMS, and since there's no
ServerCD ISO yet, here's how to install CentOS 5 using just CD1.

At the CD boot splash screen, type 'linux text'

Follow the prompts until you get to the step titled "Package Selection".
De-select EVERYTHING, and check the "Customize software selection" box.
On the "Package Group Selection" screen, De-select EVERYTHING. Proceed
as you normally would.

Upon initial reboot, you will be greeted with the contents of the
familiar 'setup' console program, where you can perform step 2 (Disable
selinux manually) on Nick's instruction checklist. You'll find those
settings under the "Firewall Configuration" section.

You may now proceed to step 3.

Hope this helps,

Subject: [qmailtoaster] Centos 5 is now supported

Hi,

CentOS 5 is now supported . . .

vpopmail-toaster, qmailadmin-toaster, clamav-toaster and
courier-authlib-toaster have also been updated.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The setup is:
CentOS 5 -
1. Server is the only configuration choice checked. No gnome or kde, no
other packages selected.
2. Disable selinux manually
3. Update with yum & reboot
4. Run cnt50-deps.sh
5. Run cnt50-perl.sh
6. Edit cnt50-svcs.sh mysql root password, edit firewall.sh IP Address,
run cnt50-svcs.sh & reboot again
7. Run cnt50-install.sh
8. Run cnt50-djbdns-localcache-install.sh, or setup bind
Configuration is pretty standard from there.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The default is to sign outgoing messages with DKSIGN and to filter
incoming domainkeys with spamassassin. Servers that forward, or are
clustered, will just have to disable signing completely until we find a
fix.

Ths install instructions are very sketchy, but are just temporary.

Regards,

Nick
