Changing to port 587 takes care of that problem - thank you. Now if I could just get my users to stop using Outlook!

The message is:

that your email address is correct in your Mail preferences and try again

Is this really a spamhaus-related issue, and can I turn off spamhaus
checking for authenticated SMTP connections?
Yes. Spamhaus now blocks all DHCP addresses. You can either use the
submission port (port 587) which does not use the blacklists, or remove
spamhaus from your blacklists file and use other RBL's.
You can't turn it off for authenticated SMTP connections since the
blacklist check is done before SMTP is initiated.

You may try to send via your ISP SMTP through configuration at the
control/smtproutes
