When working remotely my mail server refuses to send email, even though my mail client logs in to the SMTP server with user name and password prior to sending. This problem does not occur when connecting to the server from the local network.

The message is:
An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded
http://www.spamhaus.org/query/bl?ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. Please verify that your email address is correct in your Mail preferences and try again

Is this really a spamhaus-related issue, and can I turn off spamhaus checking for authenticated SMTP connections?

Thanks,
Alastair
