Only observation is that Courier-IMAP appears, nevertheless, to be
more resource intensive than, say, Dovecot which I have a running on
a separate server with Postfix - that would seem to be just the
nature of the beast.
I have been testing Dovecot on the side as a possible replacement for
Courier in QmailToaster 1.4 branch. In my testing, Dovecot does use a
lot less resources. I've gotten it to work with some success, but it
doesn't behave quite right with existing folders. Dovecot also doesn't
have quota support, so this fails to work with the SquirrelMail quota
plugin. If someone can give me some techniques or info for integration
with QmailToaster + existing folders, perhaps we can eventually move
in this direction. Otherwise, I'll skip it since I don't have the time
to get this all debugged and pushed out for 1.4.
