Auto-expire might be kicking in. That can take 3-5 minutes depending on
hardware. You can turn it off in the local.cf file, then expire manually
using a daily cron job. See list archives for an example script. Be sure to
run spamassassin as vpopmail user, or it might not access the proper bayes
database.
