I can confirm SA 3.2.5 also installs fine on a fully updated (via yum) fresh install of COS5...having done it this weekend.

I'm at a loss as to why you're getting those dependency errors, Marco.
I recently ran the toaster updates (including
spamassassin-toaster-3.2.5-1.3.14) on an up-to-date COS5 box, and had no errors.

Your toaster wouldn't be 64-bit, would it?

Yes , I have both. And rpm query answer is :

perl-libwww-perl-5.805-1.1.1

That's probably wise, Marco, but sometimes I'm a bit stubborn.

Do you have
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/HTTP/Date.pm
and
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/LWP/UserAgent.pm
on your system?

If so, what does:
# rpm -qf /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/HTTP/Date.pm
and
# rpm -qf /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/LWP/UserAgent.pm
tell you?

I give up to update spamassassin ;-)
I'm keeping all others packages up to date ... I hope it's enough by now.

Marco.

This is getting interesting (to me anywise).

It appears that with perl5.8.8/COS5, perl-HTTP-Date is included in the
perl-libwww-perl package, as is perl-LWP-UserAgent. Do you have this
package
installed? If not, try yum'ing it. Please report back either way.

Ok, just wondering. Your first post on the thread said COS4.2 - must've
been
a typo. ;)

I don't see either of those packages on RF. Maybe RF's just lagging a
little
bit?

I haven't tried installing the latest SA yet, but hope to soon. Has
anyone
on this list installed the latest SA? If so, do they have these packages
installed? From where?

Eric, My server was rebuild from zero to CentOS 5 (months ago):

qtp-whatami v0.3

OSVER=5.2

BUILD_DIR=/usr/src/redhat

And yes, this requirement to perl-HTTP-Date and perl-LWP-UserAgent
Is to the lastest spamassassin in the site.

Marco,

Did you upgrade CentOS from 4.2 to 5.x at some point? Your RF packages appear to be for COS5. Did you install the correct RF version for your
system? COS5 and COS4 are different, and must match your system.

I haven't seen a requirement for perl-HTTP-date or perl-LWP- UserAgent
before
(in COS5.2 or COS4.x). I presume this is from the latest
spamassassin-toaster which was recently posted on the main site?

I might suggest that you search the list archives, but I'll save you
the
effort if you promise to update the wiki faqs with this one. ;) It
seems
to
come up quite a bit lately.

Simply follow the directions http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/ FAQ.php#B2 for
your
distro, then you'll be able to use yum to install/upgrade them.
