Just some thoughts:
You shouldn't need to be using tcp.smtp file to control Outlook or pop3
access. If you post your tcp.smtp file we might recognize a problem.
Did you try the telnet sessions from a windoze Outlook client host
that's having the problem?
Regarding pop3, can you create a test account and try accessing with a
Thunderbird pop3 client (on one of the problem hosts)?
# qmailctl stat
shows pop3 running?

well, telnet mail.mydomain.com 110 gives the response, squirrelmail does
work, but when i connnect from outlook it doesnt. it just says
processing for sending and receiving.
