Hi Nicole,

as Jake suggested, eMPF would probably help you since it forces all
uses to authenticate before sending out email. To send email, you must
have a valid email on the domain and supply the correct password. eMPF
is really very easy to set up. In your case, all you would need to do
is edit your /var/qmail/control/policy file and add a line like this

mydomain.com:LREI,

Replace "mydomain.com" with your real domain. This will allow all
valid and authenticated email addresses to send and receive. You will
need to put your username @mydomain.com and password into your email
client (ie. thunderbird). Don't forget to reload/restart qmail after
you edit the policy file and make sure you have a comma at the end of
the line (just as in the example above).

If you want more control over who your users send and receive email
from please see the qmail wiki. Specifically
http://www.qmailwiki.org/EMPF

HTH.

Dave
