try having a dns cache server running on the local machine. This
usually speeds things up a little.
I'm running dnscache from djb. quite good.
Spamdyke is DNS addicted, intensively.
Please turn off return receipts when sending to email lists. It's
considered rude, and I really hate having to click on "Ignore request".
Before we can make some recommendations on how to speed your incoming
mail up, why don't you explain what you are experiencing, what you are
trying to accomplish, some metrics, and an idea of the hardware you're
already on.
