wget doesn't normally overwrite files ttbomk. If a file already exists,
it downloads the file and adds a suffix (.1) to it. Then .2, etc. Of
course if you used something else to download the package, this may not

(which, going by the version number, it is) and doesn't process it - as
confirmed by checking the CHKUSER_ALLOW_SENDER_CHAR_3 entry in
/var/qmail/doc/chkuser_settings.h
It sounds to me as though you don't have the newest qmailtoaster-plus
package. qtp-newmodel now offers the option to rebuild packages that are
up to date. These 2 commands:
# rpm -Uvh \
http://qtp.qmailtoaster.com/repos/nodist/qmailtoaster-plus.repo-0.2-2.noarch.rpm
# yum update qmailtoaster-plus
should get you current with QTP. You may not need the first one if your
repo package is already current.
I think maybe "remove the existing package first" means more than
deleting the .rpm file, but when I try "rpm -e" it complains about a
bunch of dependencies.
I meant to delete the source rpm from /usr/src/qtp-upgrade/SRPMS/. This
is where qtp-newmodel puts the source rpms it uses.
Should I force the rpm -e, or is there a better way to get qtp-newmodel
to re-process the package. I notice in
_http://trac.shubes.net/qtp_ that you identify allowing the script to
rebuild packages as an outstanding enhancement :)
Wow, I didn't realize that site was still up! It's old, and hasn't been
maintained. The current qtp web site (trac) is presently offline for the
time being, but we hope to have it back online soon.

I'm guessing that since the variable is commented out, it doesn't exist,
so cannot be changed (We're not real certain about how chkuser is
handling this).
_http://qtp.qmailtoaster.com/repos/SRPMS/qmail-toaster-1.03-1.3.20.src.rpm_
is a version of the package that contains the / character for chkuser.
This is the only change in it from the stock package. Download (wget) it
into /usr/src/qtp-upgrade/SRPMS/ (don't forget to remove the existing
package there first), then run qtp-newmodel and have it rebuild the
qmail-toaster package. That'll fix you up.
Jake, please refresh my memory. Why is it that this '/' character hasn't
been added to the stock package? It's becoming a real PITA for me as
well as others. ;)
