Yes, documentation is forthcoming. The lack of documentation is why I 
haven't made a formal announcement of it here yet. It's in the repo 
though, and I expect there will be no more tweaks to it, only version 
upgrades from upstream.

See the dovecot wiki(s) for a change histories. You can also find 
upgrade instructions there to guide you.
