Who is dkms :S ?
Dynamic Kernel Module Support. FUSE needs it. That's appears to be what
you're missing. I don't know how you got fuse-unionfs installed w/out it.
Try doing
# yum remove fuse fuse-unionfs
# qtp-mount-sandbox
and see if dkms packages (dkms and dkms-fuse, from the rpmforge repo)
get installed along with fuse. They should. Along with libconfuse from
qtp. If they don't, then I'd think there's a problem with package
dependencies somewhere.
For reference, here's what I have on mine:
[root@tacs-mail ~]# rpm -qa | grep fuse
fuse-unionfs-0.23-2.qtp
fuse-2.8.0-1.qtp
dkms-fuse-2.7.4-1.nodist.rf
libconfuse-2.5-5.qtp
[root@tacs-mail ~]# rpm -qa | grep dkms
dkms-fuse-2.7.4-1.nodist.rf
dkms-2.0.22.0-1.el5.rf

I'm wondering if perhaps your kernel package has been
updated, but
you haven't rebooted since that was done. ? You need to be
running
the latest kernel that's installed.
