Jake,

Just a question. I watched your video, which is brilliant. Thanks very
much for that. However, is there any GUI to use with maildrop please? I
cannot spend my time for every user to set-up filters. I need something
simple like in Squirrelmail so that every user can do it himself.

There is not a GUI to do this that I am aware of, but I also have not
researched it either.

At least http://squirrelmail.org/plugins_category.php?category_id=3
does not list any Squirrelmail plugin for maildrop.

There seems to be one that "Adds an interface to generate Sieve
scripts, for server-side mail filtering in compliant servers". I do
not know if maildrop is "sieve compliant" or if some "sieve compliant"
filtering software could be added to work with the Toaster.

Best,
Peter

Dovecot's "deliver" MDA can work with Sieve. These pieces have shifted around a little over time, and I'm not familiar at hand with their present state. Users can presently maintain server-side rules with a web app IIRC.

I believe that TBird has plans for allowing the client to maintain server-side sieve rules. I'm not sure what the status of that is.

I'd like to see (and expect to help) QMT move in this direction, utilizing dovecot's MDA along with sieve. That'll be version 2.something though. It'd be wonderful if someone decided to do this on their own ahead of time and help show the way.
