Just a quick thought - did the tcp.smtp rules get rebuilt after making the
change to the text/reference file (the cdb file)? I forget more often then
I remember.

Subject: [qmailtoaster] Relay
Importance: High

I have a client that is having problems sending email. It's an old program
that does not handle authentication very well. The program gets a message,
then sends it through smtp to the server. The server keeps rejecting it. I
see it come in and then it gets dropped. I turned off every thing I could
think of that would be blocking it. I even when as far as adding it as a
relay in tcp.smtp. Still no luck. Any Ideas?

Thanks,
Mike
