Changed my DNS to 8.8.8.8 in /etc/resolv.conf
Sent test email to the same user , No error,
Just also got a reply from that user.
So, then does that mean there is an error on DNS server,
I would say so.
running Bind on Centos 5.8
I wouldn't necessarily blame bind or COS5.8.
What did your /etc/resolv.conf file contain before you switched to
google's dns? Were you using a self hosted resolver, or something
external other than google?
I recommend running pdns-recursor on the QMT host, fwiw.
QMT users have a variety of resolvers that they use, so it's a little
difficult to include one in the stock QMT. And as some people have
pointed out, it's not absolutely required for QMT to run one locally. It
is however the preferred setup.
Would someone care to add some wiki content regarding DNS recursor setups?
