I have a lot of courier-authlib processes running too, although I'm
using dovecot. I haven't disabled authlib process(es) yet, but probably
should.
I wouldn't bother trying to debug something with courier. I think your
time would be much better spent upgrading to dovecot (and you'll be much
happier with the result!).
