Thanks Alex I can confirm the ANY query failure now; it was working earlier today – it must be an intermittent problem with their DNS. I've emailed the address listed in the SOA.
It it still useful for qmail to make DNS ANY queries, or can they be disabled as recommended at <http://fanf.livejournal.com/122220.html>? Quinn
