Hello,
I've noticed via the logs that the vast majority of failed login attempts
originate from IP's that are outside of the USA. Anyway to configure QMail
to simply block any auth request that comes from outside the US?
I would start by googling fail2ban examples, perhaps it can be used for
this? I know some people are using it at least for blocking connections
from ip addresses that fail X times.
But what happens if your users go on a vacation abroad, won't they complain
that email no longer works? Or will you inform them to only use webmail
outside US?
Regards,
Peter
I use fail2ban for this purpose. Works well. There's some info in the
wiki about it:
