After 7 years using qmailtoaster I only just realized some unexpected behavior

crazy.
I discovered if you use `valias` to create a virtual alias of an existing local
mail account (as opposed to a new line in a .qmail file for the user with
`&[email protected]`), the valias takes precedence, and no mail will be
delivered locally. In other words it seems the user .qmail files or the domain
default .qmail file are ignored completely.
Instead, if you modify a .qmail file to add `&[email protected]` in addition
to the local mail delivery rule (preferably through vqadmin, which modifies the
.qmail file for you) the forwarding will happen as expected: mail will be delivered
to the local mail account, and to the forwarded destination.
Does this ring true?

I'm not positive about this. My understanding is that forwards are now
stored in the database instead of using .qmail files. Are you sure that
vqadmin modifies the .qmail file for the account?
I haven't used valias personally. I set up forwards in qmailadmin to
achieve this. Again, my understanding is that account .qmail files are
still effective though, as they're used for catchall and maildrop
(spambox) purposes.
We should figure out what goes on here.
