Can you set up the relay server so that it authenticates? That should
bypass spf checking.

This can't be done (that I'm aware of).
Note, I've been running with spfbehavior "1" for quite some time. I don't expect you'll
see much difference backing off to "1".
What trouble are you seeing with the one domain?
