Hi Daniel,
The *Eye Candy* thing depends entirely on your point of view (ie what
type of apps you're building).
If you need to develop a Slide Show component (say for a Real Estate
project), then the qx.animation package is far from just Eye Candy! :-)
. Sometimes using animation(s) can convey information more easily than a
static presentation (take Apple's core animation in OS X and the
resulting apps that are built upon that as an example).
The nice thing with qx, is that its making javascript into the language
that I always wished it was (getting there anyway!). Who knows, maybe
some day we will find qx included as part of a browser's default install...
As soon as qx makes it to version 0.8 (letting me hopefully build slick,
lightweight components that can be embedded into normal web pages), then
I'm hoping to make it part of my company's core product. Fingers very
crossed!

wow, this is really looking great. Of course it's mostly eye candy for a
normal application, but thats what the casual user wants, right? :)
Is this already included in the trunk? Looking forward to 0.7final even
more now. :)
