The only reason I would object to that is that developers are used to
the other behavior (case sensitive). But I am not sure what the
reasoning is when you have a "it should be this way" vs. "we are used to
that way" situation.
If the API documentation makes it clear that you can get the other way
pretty easy it's better to keep things like they were. Maybe somebody is
relying on that and we must not break working apps (at least in
legacy_0_7_x).
