Hi Thomas,
there is no issue with qx.ui.popup.ToolTip! The issue is, that I was unable to
implement a cellrenderer that is using it ;)
I would like to see a solution which works with qx.ui.popup.ToolTip (called
qxToolTip from here on for short) for one of these reasons:
- A qxToolTip would make me feel that the design is more 'clean'. This is what
I first tried to do, but as the qx.ui.Table.* is a little different compared
to other qx.ui.* classes, I did not succeed.
- A qxToolTip solution might come around the "not displayed at selected cell"
issue.
- A qxToolTip can display all sorts of Widgets like an icon of example.
- A qxToolTip can have customizable background (-color).
- A qxToolTip can be displayed at different offsets from the current cursor
position.

P.S.: My statement on the "difference" of qx.ui.Table.* is no criticism, just a
excuse for me not to do it myself ;)
