I was just wondering if there isn't a built-in 'poll' or 'ping' mechanism in Qooxdoo. A search on the Qooxdoo portal resulted in nothing...
Why? If a server disappears, I just want to 'ping' it to see when it's back. I'm not too familiar with these kind of things in Javascript, so any hint would be appreciated. Do I just use a HTTPGet?
