Hi Martin, thanks for your offer of help. It is funny how subjective priorities differ from business considerations ... I have always thought that the whole databinding stuff, for different backends, and for the virtual widgets would be of crucial importance for attracting a wide range of developers to qooxdoo - since my experience is that binding the UI to data on the server in an asynchroneous client-server environment is one of the most difficult things to deal with in web application development. So I would have thought that 1&1 would make this a very high priority. But anyways, I have only my limited non-professional experience....
Back to the topic. I am developing something in qcl and will then of course share it with the community. I'll keep it as generalized as possible, so may be you will find it interesting and adopt it into the framework if it is good enough. I'll keep you updated.
