Hi.
I'm trying to understand how the ObjectRegistry works.
I was thinking that every instantiated object was registered into the
ObjectRegistry when it was created. However, I noticed recently that
objects of some of my classes were not in the registry (when I try to
get their hashcode, I get "undefined", so this means they are not
registered, am I right ?). But I can't see no difference between the
ways I create the classes and the objects. They do all extend
qx.core.Object directly or indirectly, and I always do "obj = new
a.b.c.myClass()".
So here are some questions:
1/ Are there particular conditions under which an object is registered
or not in the ObjectRegistry ?
2/ Does this registration or no-registration can have an impact over my
code and the behavior of my objects ? Do I have to worry if an object is
not registered ?
3/ How can I ensure that an object will automatically be registered ?
(i.e. without doing qx.core.ObjectRegistry.register(myObj))
4/ I have a particular case where I instantiate objects this way (and
only this way):
/*
#require(d.e.f.SomeClass)
*/
...
var classz = qx.Class.getByName("d.e.f.SomeClass");
var obj = new classz();
Those created objects are not in the registry. Can that be due to the
way I create them ? (but just to be clear this only one special case,
the overall topic of this message does not only concern those objects).
That would be great if someone could help me understand this whole
registration thing.
