I can't be alone in my struggles." I am sure, Qooxdoo is much bigger now than it was when he was struggling to learn it. In my opinion, Qooxdoo has the potential to be the de facto web development environment. However as Qooxdoo has been growing I have been asking myself what Qooxdoo is. It used to be simple. Qooxdoo was a framework that allowed you to create object oriented software in javascript with Qooxdoo supplied widgets and a bit of server communication. Not only is it hard to learn how to use Qooxdoo's features now, as Gene has commented on, but it is hard to even know what those features are. Everybody wants certain things in it, but where is the line? As a developer, I use a small subset of Qooxdoos widgets and features. I am sure that this is true for most people. The problem is that the set of things that are relavant is different for everyone. Qooxdoo is big enough and versatile enough that everyone sees a different Qooxdooo?
