Actually, I do. My gmail account has every qooxdoo message (discussion list,
commit message, and bugzilla change) since I started using gmail... and all
prior ones are on a server locally which I could search if I needed to.

People have traditionally used nabble for that. It has a searchable archive
of all previous posts, I think, or at least going back a pretty long way.
