Mike,

as long as you are not talking about RPC-calls to the server, e.g., you only
want to demonstrate a pure Qx-GUI, there is nothing else to do than run

./generate build

in your Qx source directory and then put the build directory somewhere your
webserver can access it.

The create-application.py script you hopefully used to create your
application template did even generate the proper index.html file (in the
source directory) and the above build job puts that into the build-directory
(it does actually what you said, it just puts in a <script>-tag refering to
the generated script.js file).

In short, no special Apache config. But you should follow the example in
http://qooxdoo.org/documentation/1.1/helloworld for the initial setup.
