That must be a long time ago, and then you might have used the
"quickstart" package which was only a getting-started package, and not
for production. The build process is fairly long established, and used
to be based on 'make' in earlier version.

Maybe in your haste you overlooked that the basic deployment scheme for
a qooxdoo app is to run 'generate.py build' which will create a
self-contained directory structure (usually under the 'build' directory
of your application). This you can copy *as is* to your web server,
whatever this might be, and it will run just by requesting its "index.html".

So there really is no setting up for Apache or any other web server. The
'source' version of the app (what you generate with 'generate.py
source') is only meant for development and not for deployment. The
source version you would usually test using the file:// protocol.

All this is explained in great detail in the "Hello World" [1]
introduction. If you are desperate to test also your source version from
a web server, this is more tricky and there is a specific help entry for
that [2].
