I looked into this a bit more, and since you just construct a css string for the shadow, the only thing preventing such shadows from working is that isCssString does not like rgba definitions. I tried to modify the isCssString behaviour with a mixin but it is called before my own code in the application gets anything to say. It would be realy cool if there was a way to fix these grey shadows as they look nowhere near as nice as the original bitmap shadows. cheers tobi > Am 04.04.2011 um 13:55 schrieb Tobias Oetiker: > > Looking at the css shadows in 1.4 (shadow-window-css) I see that > you are using a solid shadow color of #999999, with bright > backgrounds this is fine, but when the shadow is 'on' a dark > background, this has the odd effect of the shadow being brighter > than the background. > > how about using a black shadow with alpha transparency: > rgba(0,0,0,128) or similar ? > > cheers > tobi > > -- > Tobi Oetiker, OETIKER+PARTNER AG, Aarweg 15 CH-4600 Olten, Switzerland > http://it.oetiker.ch [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> ++41 62 775 9902 > / sb: -9900 > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Create and publish websites with WebMatrix > Use the most popular FREE web apps or write code yourself; > WebMatrix provides all the features you need to develop and > publish your website. http://p.sf.net/sfu/ms-webmatrix-sf > _______________________________________________ > qooxdoo-devel mailing list > [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/qooxdoo-devel > > -- Tobi Oetiker, OETIKER+PARTNER AG, Aarweg 15 CH-4600 Olten, Switzerland http://it.oetiker.ch [email protected] ++41 62 775 9902 / sb: -9900 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Create and publish websites with WebMatrix Use the most popular FREE web apps or write code yourself; WebMatrix provides all the features you need to develop and publish your website. http://p.sf.net/sfu/ms-webmatrix-sf _______________________________________________ qooxdoo-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/qooxdoo-devel
