A few weeks ago, I implemented JSON-RPC Version 2 conformity in
qx.io.remote.Rpc. For backward compatibility, it defaults to the protocol I
refer to as "qx1" (qooxdoo's modified version 1), but if you set the
protocol property to "2", it sends completely JSON-RPC Version 2 conforming
requests. It does not provide all of the features that are available in
Version 2, e.g., there is no support for sending batch requests or
notifications, but at least we now have something that conforms to a
standard.
The RpcJs server in qooxdoo-contrib recognizes both protocols qx1 and 2, and
supports all features of Version 2.
