About: This only concerns people working with an SVN trunk checkout of
qooxdoo (as opposed to a downloaded SDK).
Dear trunk users,
as already announced in the last weekly [1] we will be changing our
version control system from SVN to Git. At the same we will be switching
the hosting platform for the master qooxdoo repository from Sourceforge
to Github. It is now my pleasure to convey the date for the switch which
will take place on
26-Oct-2011
roughly between 10-12am (UTC+2).
The procedure will be that we will switch the Sourceforge repository to
read-only. Then the existing Git repository on Github
(github.com/qooxdoo/qooxdoo) will be updated one last time from SVN, and
from then on development will take place in the Github repository. Die
old SVN repository will not see any more updates.
If you want to keep on using a repository checkout for your own work,
please see [1] for helpful background info. Both SVN and Git access are
possible.
If you experience any issues, please let us know (e.g. answer to this
thread).
Cheers,
Thomas
