Hi, in the meantime (until/if option number 2 is implemented) I created a small Mixin which adds the property dropdownWidth to VirtualSelectBoxes, which adds a listener to the "resize" event of the dropdown childControl. In case anyone is interested, here is the source: http://pastebin.com/vwP70mKK
Of course you'll have to adjust it to your own namespace and change the default to whatever you like. It still does not select the size based on the contents of the list, but at least it allows for better defaults.
