Hello,
First of all, I want to say THANK YOU for this great framework. I have been
following the list for a while and finally I have decided to start learning
qooxdoo. I feel really comfortable with it coming from C++/Qt.
I'm trying to write a small application to learn how to:
- Show a table with a list of records from a REST web service.
- Add/Edit/Delete new records so I will learn how to use forms and POST
data, etc.
I have been playing with the ui and it seems like magic the easy of placing
widgets/layouts. Also the new indigo design looks great.
At the moment I'm a bit lost deciding how to communicate with the web
service (JSON). Looking at the documentation the "natural" way to do this
should be to use the qx.io.rest but it says that is experimental, is the
recommended way to go? is it too "experimental" to be used or maybe will be
"stable" in the near future?
Is there any sample application or maybe contribution showing how to bind
tables/forms to data from REST services? If there isn't I would be glad to
write a minimal app doing this if some qooxdoo guru helps me. Maybe
something as simple as [1] but with REST calls and using desktop.
Best Regards.
