We don't anticipate any major changes in qx.io.rest. The API might change in small details but nothing major. Currently the only REST demo in the framework is this: http://demo.qooxdoo.org/1.6/github/ (you'll need to log in to GitHub to see it in action) The code is in the repository under application/github. It shows how to set up data binding using the rest store so it should be a good starting point.
